Use Precautions in Reading and Writing

Use Precautions in Reading and Writing

You should not write your name or anything else on the library or the requested book, nor should you mark it with a pencil or ink. Nor should he be allowed to get dirty in any other way. To know how far the book has been read, the pages should not be turned, nor is it correct to put a thick object inside the book or to open it upside down, but to keep a piece of paper in the same place as the mark. Books and especially the books of others should be used with caution. Make sure your hands are clean before taking the book. The pages should be flipped over so that they do not return. Do not use saliva at all in turning the pages. The book should not be read twice. Many people have a habit of starting to write something as soon as they get a pen or pencil in their hand and write on whatever comes up. This habit is not good. If you have taken a newspaper to read from someone, it is your duty to return the pages of the newspaper after reading it properly. It is not right to return the newspaper in a random manner by turning the pages upside down. Young children occasionally use saliva instead of water to make a slate and lorite with saliva on the tip of a pencil, both of which are very dirty habits. Reading should not be done by blending the elbows or placing a book on the floor, as this causes the shoulders to bend, the back to bend and the lungs to be damaged. Next, a table, desk or stool should be places on which books etc. Can be placed so that the head and waist so not have to be bent. It is harmful to sit on a moving ride, especially to read a newspaper or a book in fine print. This put's pressure on the eyes and weakness the vision.

If there is any defect in the eyes, it is not good to read or write with a paper or a book too close to the eyes or too far away. It also impairs eyesight. When writing, keep an eye on the point of the pen and carry it with you. Don't go ahead and read the letters at the same time. In this way, while working on the needle etc, the vision should be kept with the tip of the needle. The eyes should be kept half open while looking i.e keep the upper eyelids down. When looking in front or up, the upper eyelid should be raised, but the chin should be raised. Even though it is clear that keeping the eyelids down puts a little pressure on the eyes. During lighting and in the evening, i.e in very low light and very bright light, one should not read, write or sew. Even reading a book of fine print, especially at night, weakens the eyesight.

The book should not be read in the sun as the shine of the paper is harmful to the eyes. Electric or lamp light should not fall directly on the eyes, they should be shaded or bedded. Reading by lighting a lamp of mustard oil is very beneficial to the eyes, while reading and writing in the light of kerosene is very harmful to the eyes, especially in the light of a lantern.
