How to prepare for the Air Force : Courage and passion are the most important things to become an Air Force Pilot. It is important to be healthy, both mentally and physically. To became a flying officer, two types of examinations are conducted on the basis of qualification, one at graduation level and the other at undergraduate level. Students appearing for the graduate level examinations should seriously study the subjects taught at the graduate or engineering level and undergraduate students should pay special attention to the mathematics and science subjects of class X and XII. Questions related to Reasoning and General Knowledge are also asked during the course, so their preparation is also important. You can also take coaching if you want. Ways to become an Air Force Pilot there are many ways to become a pilot in the Indian Air Force. First through National Defense Academy, Second through Combined Defense Service (CDSE), Third through NCC Special Entry and Fourth through SSC.
National Defense Academy (NDA) : Any Indian citizen between the ages of 16 and 19 who has passed 12th class in physics, Mathematics and English subjects or equivalent is eligible to sit for NDA.
What Kind of Training : Brave youth can join Indian Air Force NDA has selected a candidate for the Indian Air Force after the initial selection process. He is then sent to the National Defense Academy's Khagragwasla based education center for three years of training. During the training, pilots are trained to use all kinds of weapons and aircraft. Upon completion of the training, the trained pilots are promoted to the rank of Air Force Permanent Commissioned Officer and are posted to any existing Air Force Station in the country.
SSC Exams For Men and Women : Applications of the flying Branch of the Indian Air Force can also be made through the SSC exam. Those who are recruited through this route are also given a short service commission in the Indian Air Force for 14 years.
Eligibility : Anyone between the ages of 19 to 23 years and who had graduated from any recognized University with 60% marks in Physics, Mathematics and English subjects, B. Tech, BE or equivalent, as well as who has SSC Achieved C - Certificate from the Airwing Senior Division of the University and is eligible to sit in this examination. Student who are appearing for the final semester examination of graduation are also eligible to appear in this examination. For this you need to have science at both 12th and BA level. Commercial Pilots over the age of 25 also have a golden opportunity in this test. Such candidates must have a license to be a commercial Pilot through DGCA.
